Hi, I’m Dardan Vucetaj from Montenegro, and I’m the person behind BallkanToday.com.
I travel across the Balkans as a solo traveler, but I’m not the kind of traveler who only visits the “top 10” spots and moves on. I like real places—mountain villages, quiet lakes, local festivals, family-run guesthouses, and the kind of roads that don’t always show up on the first page of Google.
This website is my way of sharing what I see along the way: honest travel stories, practical tips, real prices, and the small details that actually help people plan better.
What you’ll find here
On BalkanToday, I share:
-
Personal travel stories (written from real experiences)
-
Hidden places in Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, and the wider Balkans
-
Practical travel info (routes, costs, local tips, what’s worth it and what isn’t)
-
Culture and tradition—festivals, food, and local life
I’m also a local guide
Besides writing, I also work as a local guide, helping travelers explore the region in a safe, comfortable, and authentic way—especially around northern Montenegro and the border areas near Albania.
If you want recommendations, help planning a route, or a local guide for your trip, you can contact me anytime through the website.
Thanks for reading and welcome to BalkanToday.
