Tuzi is one of the most beautiful places in Montenegro that everyone should visit!

On my way from Podgorica toward Han i Hotit (Albania), I had to pass through Tuzi anyway. I wasn’t planning anything special—I just wanted a short break. But Tuzi is one of those places where a “quick stop” can easily turn into something more.

I pulled over for a coffee and walked into Martini Lounge Bar. Nothing complicated just a coffee and a bottle of water. The total came to €2.30, and it felt like the perfect reset before continuing the drive.

The Tuzi Market: Not Fancy, But It Has Everything

After that, I went to the Tuzi market (pazar/pijac). And the first impression was simple: it’s huge. It’s not one of those modern, polished shopping centers it’s more raw, more practical, not perfectly built or organized. But that’s exactly why it feels real.

You can find literally everything there. Clothes, shoes, household items, tools, work gear even random things you didn’t know you needed until you saw them. It’s the kind of market where you keep walking and thinking, “How do they have this here too?”

What I Bought (and Why People Come From Other Areas)

I ended up buying a tracksuit for €9. And honestly, that price sums up the whole place. In general, the prices felt very cheap, and it made sense why people don’t come only from Tuzi locals told me that buyers also come from surrounding areas just to shop there.

It’s not the kind of place you visit for luxury or aesthetics. You visit it because it’s useful, lively, and it has that Balkan-market energy where everything is moving at once.

Practical Tip if You’re Passing Through

If you ever drive that route, Tuzi is worth a stop especially if you want a quick coffee and a market walk.

The market usually works every day, roughly from 07:00 to 16:00. If you come earlier, it feels more active and you’ll have more time to browse without rushing.
